about

the band

Formed in 2019 Black Days is a culmination of 4 extremely dedicated musicians with each member having well over 30 years of experience in the music industry. We strongly believe that we have achieved our goal in precisely replicating the catalog of one of musics greatest icons, Chris Cornell. We have dedicated many years to not only fine tuning our performances, but to also replicate the fine details such as authentic guitars, mics, musical equipment and even stage props, some of them even owned and played by Chris Cornell himslef. Solely, with intentions,to insure the audience a true authentic performance like no other Chris Cornell tribute can. We are truly honored to be able to perform Chris’s entire catalog as we leave nothing untouched from Early Soundgarden to late, Temple of The Dog, Audioslave, Solo material, and even the Songbook album. We perform it all.

our inspiration

Soundgarden

a pioneering force in the grunge movement, emerged from Seattle in the late 1980s and quickly carved a distinct space in the alternative rock scene. Renowned for their enigmatic sound, characterized by Chris Cornell's soulful wails and Kim Thayil's intricate guitar work, Soundgarden's music is a tapestry of heavy, riff-driven compositions blended with complex time signatures. With landmark albums like "Superunknown" and anthems such as "Black Hole Sun," the band showcased their ability to seamlessly navigate between gritty, raw power and introspective, melodic brilliance. Soundgarden's impact on rock music is indelible, leaving an enduring legacy that continues to resonate with fans worldwide.

Temple of the Dog

an iconic musical collaboration formed in 1990, stands as a poignant tribute to the late Andrew Wood, lead singer of Mother Love Bone. This supergroup brought together members who would later become the pillars of Soundgarden and Pearl Jam, including Chris Cornell, Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready, and Matt Cameron. Their eponymous album, released in 1991, is a timeless masterpiece that beautifully blends the raw intensity of grunge with heartfelt lyrics, showcasing Chris Cornell's soul-stirring vocals. Temple of the Dog holds a special place in the annals of rock history, not just as a musical gem but as a heartfelt homage to a lost friend and the genesis of Seattle's vibrant grunge scene.

Audioslave

a groundbreaking supergroup formed in the early 2000s, brought together the powerhouse vocals of Chris Cornell, formerly of Soundgarden, with the instrumental mastery of Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk from Rage Against the Machine. The fusion of Cornell's soulful, raw voice and the band's dynamic, genre-blending instrumentals created a musical force that left an indelible mark on the rock landscape. Audioslave's self-titled debut album, featuring hits like "Cochise" and "Like a Stone," showcased their ability to seamlessly meld hard rock with introspective lyricism. With a brief yet impactful career, Audioslave left an enduring legacy as a musical powerhouse that transcended the boundaries of alternative and hard rock.

Chris Cornell

Chris Cornell's solo career stands as a testament to his immense talent and unwavering musicality beyond the iconic bands he fronted. Emerging from the grunge era as the voice of Soundgarden, Cornell seamlessly transitioned into a solo artist, showcasing a diverse range that transcends genres. His solo work, marked by soulful vocals and poignant lyrics, produced masterpieces like "Euphoria Morning," "Carry On," and "Higher Truth." Cornell's solo career became a canvas for exploration, where he fearlessly experimented with acoustic ballads, rock anthems, and even Bond film soundtracks. A musical luminary, Cornell's solo journey remains a poignant chapter in the legacy of one of rock's most influential voices.

authentic gear

Hey guys,
Rob Semtek here. I wanted to share something very special with you all, that I am pretty sure can only happen once in a lifetime!
Being that we want to give you all the most authentic (true to Chris) performances that we possibly can, we have all been in search of the most relevant gear possible to insure that we replicate each and every performance to the best of our ability.
Through this process, I was introduced to Eugene, owner of Ultra Sound Music, NYC a few months ago. He called me last week to tell me he had something very special for me, and blew my mind!
I am now in possession of the actual speaker cabinet that CC used at the Superunkown 20th anniversary show, at Webster Hall, NYC on 6/2/14.
(I was there of course)
How amazing is it that a part of Chris and a historical piece of musical history, will now be on stage with us at each and every show?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Check out the authentication letter from Eugene (TYSM for the shout out to Black Days), pics, and the actual concert link where you can see Chris using it for the whole show. 🙏
SEE YOU SOON 🎙🎼🎙🎼🎙
